The slagoth are newly-discovered herbivores found in the Flooded Forest and the Volcano. They seem to share characteristics with Apceros and Rhenoplos .
Seen being preyed upon by the wroggi and Great Wroggi , they are also a food source for Rathalos and other large predators. slagtoth are extremely territorial; the males will attack Hunters and Wyverns , similarly to how the Rhenoplos attack hunters. They attack hunters by ramming with the bone lump on their snouts and body-slamming.
They are usually found near water, probably because their floppy, frog-like hides require moisture.
